Interface Design

Interactive Flash Game

Concepted, programmed, and illustrated this Flash CS5 game in 3 weeks. Illustrations were primarily done in Illustrator CS5 with some additional art created in Flash CS5. The concept was flushed out in Illustrator and then built in Flash.

UI Design Process for Faxion In-game Store (not released)

Researched, created wireframes, developed color mock-ups, and executed final-art mock-ups to develop in-game store for Faxion Online from the ground up.

UI Reskinning for Faxion Online

Lightened framing UI elements to intrude less on game-play area. Kept color palette, basic formatting,
and location so as not to disrupt the player base.

Lightened framing UI elements much like I did for the HUD elements. Reinterpreted some of the graphic layouts to make it more intuitive for the user. Designed the in-game store graphics, layout, and functionality from the ground up.

In-Game Tutorials for Faxion Online

The in-game tutorials were created to give players a visual way of learning how the game and interface elements worked. Roughly 53 of the 190 tutorials page sets were completed for launch. I was responsible for standardizing visual elements, documenting those standards, and layout design. Also, I worked with the designer to refine the text so it worked with the imagery.

World and Zone Maps for Faxion Online

The Zone Map is a collage of all the individual levels in Faxion Online using Photoshop. Each unique map was made by creating a stylized layer over the plan view with uniform colors, icons, and topographical elements to create a common theme between the series of 10 maps.

Character Select Screen for Faxion Online

Character collage used as the lead-in for the character menu for Faxion Online. I generated active poses in Hero Engine, captured images using Fraps, and created the collage in Photoshop.
